Each scholarship will be in the amount of $500 and will be awarded to a senior pursuing additional education.

SCHOLARSHIPS DETAILS

The Lenny Pritchard Scholarship* in the amount of $500 will be awarded to one college-bound graduating Senior who demonstrates:

  • Traits that make them an outstanding wildcat.
  • Commitment and passion as a wildcat that contributed to making DRHS a better school community.
  • Positive contributions and school spirit which will inspire them to give back to their community in the future.
  • *Application requires teacher recommendation.
The Dr. Spence Scholarship* in the amount of $500 will be awarded to one college-bound graduating Senior who understands and demonstrates:
  • To Whom Much is Given, Much Is Expected
  • Leadership is a Core Value
  • Be Prepared for the 21st Century
  • *Application requires teacher recommendation.
The DRHS-PTSO 2 Year or Vocational Scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded to one graduating Senior who is bound for a 2 year or vocational school who meets the following criteria:
  • The student must be a current member of the DRHS-PTSO.
  • The student must be a graduating senior with a 3.0 or above GPA.
  • The student must be enrolled in an accredited two-year college or vocational program.
  • The student should be active in their community and/or school during all of their high school years.
  • The student should exhibit a strong personal character and sense of responsibility, ambition, and motivation.
The DRHS-PTSO 4 Year Scholarship in the amount of $500 each will be awarded to five graduating Seniors who show good academic achievement as well as active involvement at Deep Run High School and their community. Criteria for the PTSO scholarships are:
  • The student must be a current member of the DRHS-PTSO.
  • The student must be a graduating senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • The student must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university.
  • The student should have been active in their community and/or school during all of their high school years.
  • The student should exhibit a strong personal character and a sense of responsibility, ambition, and motivation.
The PTSO Equity and Diversity Scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded to one senior for efforts made to build equity and diversity among the student body while a student at DRHS.  

  • The student must be a current member of the DRHS-PTSO.
  • The student must be enrolled in a accredited 2-4 year college or university.  
  • The student must have demonstrated leadership in initiatives that help build and encourage equity, diversity, inclusivity and belonging at Deep Run.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

  • Please submit applications to the school counselling office by 4PM on Friday, April 14, 2023.
  • You can apply for multiple PTSO scholarships but can only be awarded one.
  • All scholarship will be announced at the Senior Awards Banquet in June 2023.
